Tanagai parish West of Honiara has been given the nod to be the next host of the Catholic women’s gathering in 2018.
This was confirmed and announced on the final day at the gathering of the Catholic women at Tangarare on Sunday 16th of August.
Coordinators of the respective Parishes met and have agreed to give Tanagai the honour to host the event.
Coordinator of Tangarare Parish Lucy manekako handed over the flag to Tanagai Parish Coordinator Janet Papale to confirm the responsibility of organizing the next gathering in Tanagai Parish.
Mrs Manekako during the handing over of the flag congratulated Tanagai coordinator and the women representatives for accepting to host the next gathering in their Parish.
“Congratulation, your Parish is the next host of the similar gathering and hope communities in your parish will looking forward for this great event and help in organizing the gathering before the final date,” she said.
Ms Papale in response acknowledged the entire parish for accepting Tanagai Parish to the next host in 2018.
She said Tanagai parish will make all efforts to organize themselves for such important event, even though it is quite challenging and it will be the first time for such gathering to occur in the Tanagai parish.
