HOUSE OF SHEM a heavy weight roots reggae band from the land of the long white cloud New Zealand together with Jah Sito a reggae artist from Chile South America rocked Honiara over the weekend with two great reggae concerts at the Heritage Park Hotel.
The band which played mostly roots reggae gave local reggae fans something to cheer about as the month of August comes to an end.
The first concert was held on Saturday night and the second was held on Sunday night at the Heritage Park Hotel car park.
According to House of Shemlead vocalist,Te Omeka Perkins, the message that they wantedto share with the people of Solomon Island through their reggae music is peace, love and unity for the people.
The two concerts staged over the weekend put the local reggae loving fans on their feet with the strong bass lines mix with the original roots reggae rhythm.
In the concert they played some original vibes from the House of Shem, Some from the Herbs band and off course some energetic reggae moving vibes from the Chilean artist Jah Sito.
The band members expressed their love for the Solomon Islands where they promised to return to this county some times in the future.
This is the very first time that House of Shem and Jah Sito actually toured Solomon Islands.
