Suva (Fiji Times) – FIJI has dropped two positions in World Rugby’s rankings after the three losses in pool play during the Rugby World Cup.
Fiji was ninth when they came to England, now they are ranked 10th.
England dropped two places to eighth after their World Cup defeat by Australia at Twickenham.
Eight teams have moved up one place in the rankings while four nations have dropped: Wales by one place from two to three, Ireland by one from four to five, England by two from six to eight, and Samoa by four from 11 to 15.
The eight risers, all by one place, are Australia (to 2), South Africa (4), France (6), Argentina (7), Japan (11), Tonga (12), Italy (13), and Georgia (14).
Samoa’s heavy defeat by Japan has sent them to their lowest position since the rankings began.
