THE recent tour of the US based Christafari band was dubbed as a success and the organizers wish to thank the sponsors and the general public for their contribution.
In a statement yesterday, tour promoter Moses Maearia said that, they appreciate the support of the sponsors in ensuring that all the necessary costs are met in a timely manner because without it, the Honiara public could not have enjoyed one of the best events ever hosted in the capital so far.
“……just like to thank the sponsors for making the event a success especially MS Finjay Building and Construction for footing all the major costs for the event.
“Other sponsors include, Global Digital Printing, ZFM 99.5, Harber Excavation, Gud Nius Radio, NLF Company Limited, Fenehia General Merchandize. These are all private businesses and not large corporates and we value their contributions too much,” Maearia stated.
He added that, other stakeholders includes SIRUF, Honiara City Council, Airport Staff, local pan-pipers, Solomon Islands National Museum, Vox Pacifika, RSIPF and all participating Church Groups and fans who took part in promoting the event and not forgetting the organising team and those who indirectly involved in the day to day activities of the event.
“I just want to commend you all for your tireless efforts to put the whole program together. It was hard to organize a gospel event that big here in Honiara but we managed to pull it through even though it was our first time to do so.
“We would also like to acknowledge the public who came out in good numbers during the two nights. The event was what it was because we had the most well behaved crowd on both nights,” the promoter added.
Meanwhile, he said Christafari has been in 59 countries so far and what they get here from the two nights is dubbed as the best ever in all their touring life and they are looking forward to come back again next year.
“With that we look forward to organizing more of these events in the future and look forward to the same support but promise to improve more as we go. Once again TAGIO TUMAS,” Mr Maearia told the Solomon Star.
