SAINT John Baptist Church, in North Malaita has commended their Member of Parliament (MP) for his assistance in donating roofing irons for the construction of a new church building.
The Church is located at Otaradi Community in Mbita’ama.
MP Jimmy Lusibaea has donated 120 pieces of roofing irons for the newly built church.
Speaking on behalf of the chairman of St. John the Baptist church and community, the community representatives has thanked MP Lusibaea and acknowledged the assistance that was given to them.
“On behalf of the Chairman of St. John the Baptist church and community, we would like to thank and acknowledged the assistance that was given to us from our Hon. Jimmy Lusibaea; MP for North Malaita Constituency in donating hundred and twenty (120) pieces of copper roofing for our newly built church.
”We are so thankful for your donation to our community as it is an indication of your true leadership and assistance to our people from the village as our representative with the Government.
“We wish you God’s blessing in the years to come in your leadership and May God continue to lead you as our leader of parliament for our constituency, North Malaita,” the community representatives that received the materials said, in a statement yesterday.
They added, the materials will be transported to Malaita to enable further construction on the new church building to progress to its completion.
