POLICE have again reiterated that all drivers must obey police traffic instructions and directives.
This is to avoid the long queue or any other unnecessary and unwanted traffic accidents that may occur.
Drivers have been cautioned to respect police road signs put up and also officers that are controlling and directing traffic.
“We understand that the long queue will remain a problem to us with the continuous monitoring, assessments and reconstruction of the Mataniko bridge; however we call on drivers to help Police manage our traffic.
“The only way for us to manage more inconveniences to ourselves would be to obey the authority manning traffic, in this case police,” she said.
Ms Matanga added that at this stage police had been pleased with the response, cooperation, understanding and support that all drivers have rendered to police during and after the flash floods.
She calls for more of such in the future until the problem of mending the bridge is completed and traffic be returned to normality.
