THE body of late Dwaine Tigulu, Honiara City Councillor who passed away early this week after a long illness was last night taken for burial at his home village on Rannoggah, Western province.
Mr Tigulu passed away on Tuesday around 7pm after a long illness, according to relatives.
Until his passing away he was the councillor for Vura and Naha ward in East Honiara and a strong and active supporter of the Naha Seventh Day Adventist church.
He was a lawyer by profession.
During his brief but very emotional funeral service at the Kukum SDA Church yesterday, relatives described the late councillor as a loving father to all, an active City Councillor who had great vision for Honiara City.
Fellow City Councillors and colleagues in the justice system have also described the fallen Councillor as a dedicated and very focussed Councillor, committed to helping people, adding that his presence and dedication will be greatly missed by all.
