THREE provinces reported minimal damages caused by last week’s bad weather.
Makira, Temotu and Western said they only experience heavy rain, strong and earthquake throughout the period.
Kirakira provincial police commander Peter Sitai told the paper on Wednesday, heavy rain and an earthquake was experienced.
“But its not like in Honiara which was flooded where cost lives and properties were lost.”
He added a lot of the people were also on alert incase of a tsunami following the earthquake.
“Fortunately the threat was called off.”
They are yet to receive any reports from other islands and communities in the province, he said.
In Lata, Temotu it’s the same experience where the province experience heavy downpour last Thursday.
“Everything is fine and the weather has now improved. No damages or lives were lost as in Honiara,” a spokesperson for the province said yesterday.
In Gizo, Western province, provincial police commander John Rove said last week they experienced heavy rain and strong wind.
“But no major damages and deaths like in Honiara.”
For other outer islands and communities they are yet to receive any reports, said Rove.
