PAPUA New Guinea (PNG) high commission in Honiara on Monday farewelled its first secretary Joyce Bundu.
Mrs Bundu came to Solomon Islands in 2010 serving as acting high commissioner for a couple of months as the PNG Government seeks a replacement following the controversial departure of Parai Tamei.
Speaking during her farewell dinner, PNG high commissioner his excellency Fred Yakasa thanked Mrs Bundu for her hard work over the past four years in strengthening the bilateral ties between PNG and Solomon Islands.
He urged his staff to continue the good precedence which Mrs Bundu has set.
Mrs Bundu left for PNG yesterday to become PNG’s acting director multilateral economic arrangement under its development cooperation division in the foreign affairs department.
