Disaster volunteers of World Vision have received their certificates from the World vision after engaging in the recent disaster assessment program.
This was after World vision engaged more than hundred volunteer workers to help out in the assessment program in Guadalcanal province.
Out from the total number engaged in the assessment only 19 volunteer were awarded with certificate of participation in the recent flash flooding.
Speaking with the World Vision information officer Rose Clough in an interview she said World Vision was pleased to certify the 19 volunteers for their commitments and bravery trough out the assessment program.
She said the assessment team were doing very well with their work.
“We were happy to see volunteers show their commitments and hard working during the disaster which affected the country,” Ms Clough said.
She said the assessment reports will help the organisation to work according to its distribution programs to the affected areas.
She said despite hardship the organisation face during the disaster period, the organisation worked hard to assist all victims.
Camillus Kole one of the awardees said World Vision is one of the organisations that really helps many victims who were affected by the disaster.
He said through the assessment, the reports will help the organisation to make distribution easy and flexible.
“Our assessment work will help the organisation to identify and distribute relief supplies to those who effected in the recent flash flooding,”Kole said.
He said World Vision plays a very important role in the recent flash flooding.
“World vision plays a very import role in during the recent flash flooding,” kole said.
Work Vision currently continues with its relief effort in the country.
