TO improve access to eco-tourism development within Guadalcanal province, the Japanese government have shown support towards the development.
Director of Guadalcanal eco-tourism development service Edison Saeni confirmed the assistance during the launching of GEDS constitution early this month.
Saeni has spent six months in Japan on skills training.
He highlighted during his stay, he had requested for assistance and the Japanese government had pledge to assist.
“The offer was to construct a tar-seal road access around Guadalcanal in 2015 to 2016 program respectively under my training,” Mr Saeni added.
He also mentioned that the project cost around USD$65,000,000.
Mr Saeni thanked the Japanese government for showing support to help.
One of the country’s statesmen Ezekiel Alebua launched the constitution to facilitate and guide local eco-tourism operators in their business.
