Director of the National Training Unit (NTU) Clement Tito has reminded university students in Fiji that they were given scholarship for a government mission when meeting with the students at Laucala Campus yesterday.
He said the mission is for the students to gain wisdom and knowledge where they can return and develop the country.
“You are chosen one to have access to wisdom and knowledge at the university level so that you get it and take back to our country and tell the leaders that this is what we need to develop the country,” he told the students.
Mr Tito said the wisdom and knowledge the country expected from the students is to develop the country mentally, physically, socially, economically and spiritually.
He said if any students have different purposes for studying in Fiji then God will not bless them.
Mr Tito also clarifies issues on scholarship policy, procedures, allowances and academic concerns raised by the students.
He said it was important for him to get the first hand information on issues affecting the academy of the students which could help him find a better solution to address them.
President of the Solomon Islands Student Association Clayton Tuimaka acknowledged the director and his delegation for giving the opportunity for students to raise their concerns.
He said as president there are numbers of issues which he could not answer and the visit by the director and his delegations is timely which really clarifies issues affecting the students and make the students satisfy and can move on with their studies.
Meanwhile the director assured the students that their allowances is expected to be received today.
