Charles Dausabea has rubbished negative comments certain political parties have levelled against Malaita Ma’asina Forum’s (MMF) political wing party – the Peoples’ Progressive Party (PPP).
Dausabea revealed that he had been approached by two parties who said the donor community will not support PPP formed coalition with.
“I was approached by two political parties telling me the donor community will not give funding to PPP therefore telling parties not to join them. But I want to remind these people to stop spreading such rumours because I will reveal who these parties and people are. But one thing I want to assure the people of this nation is, our party will not be pulled by the nose like the previous government. We had enough of such leaders who ruined this country by depending on aid donors for funding,” Dausabea said.
He said such comments came from narrow minded leaders who have no ownership, responsibility and vision to carry this nation forward.
Mr Dausabea said such comments shows how dependant these people are to listen to donors and will not be making independent decisions to take this country forward.
“We need a government that serve its people to its fullest who take ownership of their decision and hold their sovereignty and not a government pulled by foreigners to serve their own interests.
“And to clarify to those parties and the public we have been called on several occasions to meet with ambassadors of different diplomatic offices in the country and to hear such negative comments shows how self interest these parties are.”
Duasabea is calling on any one who continues to preach such negative message to stop because spreading such message is a sin against Malaitans.
He said PPP wants this country to be liberated and all people to stand on their feet.
“Not like what this country has been experiencing where only a few leaders and their associates are standing on their feet whilst others are suffering,” Dausabea added.
He said this country had enough of puppet leaders.
Adding, it is time to take ownership and responsibilities over decisions and be answerable to people other than turning deaf ears on people’s concerns.
