There’s a policy direction for second chance education for unfortunate secondary students who have fallen out of the education system.
The policy direction was to have young people like pregnant single mothers in secondary schools, and expelled students from the system, to get back into the system.
This was revealed by the Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary Franco Rodie in an interview.
“We are hoping to bring about policy direction or position to recognise these young potential students who might have fallen out of the way in the education system,” Rodie said.
“We should consider second chance education for these young people”.
The Ministry of Education stand in four pillars; that is for Solomon Islanders to have access to education, Equitable Education, Education Management, and Professional development.
