WITH the demand for banking services by customers of Pan Oceanic Bank (POB) along with its increasing membership, the bank is expanding its service with the opening of its new branch next week.
POB chief executive officer (CEO) Nihal Kekulawala has confirmed that their East Honiara branch will be opening up at Panatina Plaza next Thursday.
“Yes, we are opening a branch at the Panatina Plaza, East Honiara. We are making arrangements to open the branch on the 9th October. We want to open the branch before we complete three months of operations.”
The new branch will handle all banking services to ease the demand for the service at the Hyundai Mall.
The opening of the new branch will also mean new staff will be recruited to work in the new branch.
POB is also planning to open a branch for its West Honiara customers later.
