The Honiara city police have arrested and charged an 18 year-old male suspect following a burglary incident which occurred on 28 September 2014 at Vura-1 Height, East Honiara.
Police alleged the intruder used some 44-gallon drums to enter through the window of a resident at the time of incident. He then used a long object to pick out items inside the house.
The accused was later arrested and charged on the 2 October with burglary and he is remanded in police custody.
Following the police investigation, some of the stolen items were recovered including, a keyboard, mobile phone and documents. Police are yet to recover 1x black ACER Laptop worth more than six thousand grand, Next Note tablet worth one thousand five hundred dollars and some hard cash of one thousand dollars.
Police calls on the public especially residence around the Vura-1 Height to report to police of any sighting of these stolen items.
