HONIARA City Council has not given permission to people residing at its public library before the national election last week.
They were believed to be supporters of councillor and losing candidate of Central Honiara, Jack Igi.
Most of them came from the provinces and leave the premise of the library this week.
The Council said no authority was given but the councillor refused to listen.
One librarian said the people were allowed to use all the facilities inside the public library.
“The councillor should find a place to house his supporters rather than staying in the public library,” the librarian said.
“The public library is built for students and people interested to use it for study and research,” the librarian added.
Comments are being sought from Mr Igi.
