DISGRUNTLED students of the Solomon Islands National University(SINU) who have completed their studies at the university last year have called for immediate release of their academic transcript.
The students made the call after they claimed the SINU management failed to respond to their request for the release of their academic transcript since last year.
A student who undertook diploma in social science and English and wants to remain anonymous claimed, they’ve approached student academic service (SAS) office requesting their transcript but nothing was forth coming.
“We were promised by SINU that our academic transcripts (results) would be ready by December but two months on and still nothing.
“Its disappointing to see such a high institution in the country failing to fulfill its obligation,” the student said.
Most of the students need their academic results and transcript in order to apply for jobs or to show to their sponsors.
Meanwhile, when contacted the academic office said, transcripts are still with their course coordinators and have not reached their office.
“We (SAS) just advise students to check with their respective course coordinators.”
