The Helena Goldie Hospital in Munda, Western Province is reportedly still without a medical doctor.
A doctor who was supposed to be posted there was still on leave, leaving the hospital with no choice but to patiently wait for him to resume his duties.
This was confirmed by the Hospital’s secretary Soraya Pina.
“A medical doctor who is to be posted here is still on leave. We are waiting patiently to have him here as soon as he resumes his duties”.
“The Ministry has informed us about that and yes, the hospital is looking forward to have him here”.
Helena Goldie Hospital has been without medical doctor since November 2014 after an expatriate couple doctors serving at the hospital left early.
Helena Goldie Hospital is operated by the Wesley United Church.
