Chairperson of the Honiara based East Are’are Constituents zone Committee Henry Kahui has called on constituents to solve their differences.
The call comes after a petition lodged against the East Areare Member of Parliament Andrew Manepora was withdrawn this month.
“While acknowledging the withdrawal, the differences constituents have must be immediately resolved to find a way forward for our constituency.
“We need to maintain our spirit of oneness in order for the MP to fulfill his mandatory job for us for the next four years,” Mr Kahui said.
He urged disputing parties to work closely with the zone committee to address issues of concern.
“We are culturally natured people therefore; we must work together with the established committee and the MP to solve the concerns.
“Politics is not our culture therefore we need to solve issues in our own way and according to our cultural way of doing things.”
High Court Registrar Maiyonni Samani said the East Are’are MP is the only MP of the 15 that has his election petition withdrawn.
