More than 830 students studying at the Vura community highschool (CHS) will soon benefit from the first ever library in the school.
The newly built school library is expected to be completed by next week said the construction leader Marlon Mau.
Mr Mua said, at the moment they just waiting for paints to arrive and they will finish up the work which will see the building handed over to the school.
“Construction of the school library started last month and is expected to be completed by the end of next week.”
Meanwhile, the school principal A llen Ketai said, library is an important aspect of the school where he views it as the brain of the school.
“Library is the only place where one can find different source of information form the past scholars and other published materials which are relevant for students in their studies.”
Mr Ketei who is planning to establish form six at the school in the years ahead said the construction of the new library is the way forward for the school where he believes will boost his bid to have form six at Vura community high school.
“To have a form six in the school, library is a major requirement and now that the library is reaching its final stage of construction, Vura school is somewhere near to achieve its goals.”
With that Mr Ketai said the best place for students to do their studies apart from the class room is the library where he expected to see Vura students making use of the library when it is ready.
Vura school has been operating without a library since its establishment and the newly built library in the school will be the first library to be built in the school.
Currently Vura students only use the national library as the only available library for students but now that the school library is almost completed it will save time and cost for students who wish to do their research and assignments, it was highlighted.
