A man facing various criminal charges has denied all the allegations against him when he appeared in the Honiara Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Robert Pepeo pleaded not guilty to the charges of causing death by reckless and dangerous driving, using abusive words, simple larceny and threatening or insulting behaviour.
He entered his pleas before Magistrate Augustine Aulanga.
The first charge was in relation to an allegation on 2 August 2011. It was alleged as a result of careless driving caused the death of a man at the Kukum Highway road, opposite the Didao Refiling station in East Honiara.
In relation to the simple larceny charge, prosecution alleged he stole a Black Hand set walkie talkie radio belonging to the Goldridge Mining Company.
Police alleged that on 9 September 2010 at Vasakiki road, Goldridge area, he swore at Fijians doing security work for Gold Ridge.
Again on 8 November 2012, in front of the boom gate at Goldridge Mining Company, he allegedly swore again at the Fijians.
He also allegedly intimidated a man at Bubulake, also at the Goldridge area.
Pepeo will appear again in the Honiara Magistrates’ Court on June 10, when a pre-trial conference will be conducted.
