THE University of South Pacific (USP) has extended its registration dead line to the Friday 7th August 2015.
According to the USP calendar, the registration weeks were scheduled for July 12th to 24th.
But, in an official announcement made yesterday, the Vice Chancellor Professor Rajesh Chandra has approved to extend the registration for semester 2, 2015 for Friday next week.
This is to allow students that have not registered for this semester to make use of this golden opportunity to register themselves with SAS as soon as possible.
“I have extended the cut-off date now (and this is the final date) to 7th August.
“Please work with students to make sure that all of them have completed their registration by this time.
“We would like to work with USPSA for next year to educate everybody about the cut-off dates and the importance of doing things on time please,” the VC announced.
A number of local government sponsored students have also left for the University in Fiji last weekend and may have been also late for registrations.
At the Honiara campus, students were also seen queuing up at the various BSP outlets in town to pay up their fees through the USP’s bank account since the beginning of this week.
This is a new initiative that the campus in Honiara exercised to avoid long queues at the complex near Lawson Tama stadium.
Attempts to get comments from staff at the campus in Honiara to see if the extended dead line is effective for the Honiara campus yesterday were not successful.
