TRIAL in relation to the murder of a man at East Kwaio, Malaita province, ended Tuesday at the High Court.
Ngadabeu Maenari’i of Kwaio was accused of killing a man at Fanauriri village, in east Kwaio, on 21 April 2012.
Prosecution alleged he stabbed a man with a knife following an argument between them.
It was alleged the deceased died as a result of the stab wounds.
Prosecution called three witnesses while the accused did not call any witnesses and also remained silent.
Trial started on Monday late afternoon before Chief Justice Sir Albert Palmer.
Closing submissions on the case will be made in court today and a date for judgment is likely to be fixed after that.
Sarah Karani of Public Solicitor’s Office represents Maenari’i while public prosecutor Florence Joel appeared for the state.
