THE public and local customers in and around Auki, Malaita province are taking advantage of the three days road show conducted by Island Enterprise Limited (IEL) and Origin Gas this week.
The road show kicked off on Wednesday and will end today to coincide with the Malaita second appointed day celebrations.
The display and demonstration of their products is being held at the old Auki market area which attracted many customers who turned up each day to see the products and take advantage of the special prices on offer and buy themselves some of the products.
Speaking to this paper Marketing officer and team leader of Island Enterprise Limited Michael Mantulia said, the road show program is part of celebrating the province’s 32nd appointed day.
Some of the products which are being put on display by the two firms are general safety wear, safety shoes, home appliances, agricultural products, pesticide, hard ware products, gardening products, tools bags, Khaki bags, stoves, burners, cylinder and many more.
Mr Mantulia said, customers are coming in numbers to buy themselves various products.
“Some of our solar panel products have run out of stock, and only a few are still remaining.”
Apart from the promotional talks and quizzes, there dancing competition.
There were prices being awarded to the public who answered some of the quizzes.
Most of the customers have commended the two companies for coming out and put on a special show for the public through their products.
A customer John Tua who bought gardening and housing tools from Island Enterprise Limited said, he has been using the tools for many years now and urged farmers and builders to buy tools from Island Enterprise because they are genuine.
“Those products last long compared to the others sold by other shops.”
With Auki expected to be packed with people today for the celebration, the two stalls are expected to be visited for the final time.
