The public in Honiara City have been reminded again to take good care of Council properties around the City.
Chairman of the Law Enforcement Division Charles Aiwosuga made to call to remind everyone to show respect and be good Citizens.
“I would like to remind the public in the City to take good care of the Council’s properties, especially the rubbish bins which have been placed around the city.
“Practices such as burning of rubbish in the bins, throwing of rubbish around the bins or even removing them is prohibited,” he said.
Aiwosuga further appealed to the business houses, residents and those visitors from other provinces to maintain the cleanliness in the city and to comply with the 7 meter ordinance of the Council.
As the Honiara City Council and the Guadalcanal Province will be co-hosting the 8th Premiers Conference in October, the Chairman urged the Public at large to help towards the preparations by keeping the City clean from littering.
