STUDENTS studying at the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) under self-sponsorship are appealing for financial support towards salvaging them from the financial constraints they are currently facing at the moment.
According to the student’s task-force chairman Dickson Koke, the appeal is made to the general public, business houses, Non-Government Organizations, and other stakeholders.
“Your support would be much appreciated to salvage our very own local students who are studying at home as well as to remain in class and to continue on to complete their programs for this final semester, 2015,” Mr Koke said.
The chairman informed the Solomon Star that a wheel-barrow drive to raise money in aid of the student’s fees will take place this Saturday around the streets of Honiara.
He said a night out party in aid of the course will be hosted at Club Flamingo, Honiara Hotel where all gate-takings will go towards supporting the students.
For enquiries and donations, Mr Koke can be reached on mobile 7921302 or Wiggen on 7744192.
