Speaking to this paper yesterday Gabriel Manelusi said the attitude shown by the community is a positive step in partnership with the police.

With that he said he wants to thank the chief, church leaders and the community of Matariu for their stand against criminal behaviour in the community.
On the same note he also wishes to extend his word of thank you to the community leaders and chiefs of Gilbert camp and Burns Creek for their continuous support in working together with the police to fight against crime in their communities.
He added, crime rates in the two communities have reduce over the months through their work and support.
