The visiting Italian delegation on Wednesday made a one-day visitation to meet and held consultations at d Don Bosco, Henderson, East Honiara.
They visited the institution at 4.30 pm and spent an hour seeing the facilities there.
The delegation was led by H. E. Gianluca Galletti, Minister for Environment and H. E. Pier Francesco Zazo, Ambassador of Italy for Australia and the Pacific islands, with his office in Canberra; Mr. Francesco Lacamera, Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Stefano Maguccio, Diplomatic advisor to the Minister; and Ms. Cristina Di Pietro, the interpreter.
A group of students stayed back after school to represent the school and welcome the delegation. They performed a dance and sang a song which delighted the Italians.
They visited the Library, the Computer Lab and other facilities at DBTI. They spent considerable time chatting with the two Italian citizens in Solomon Islands: Sr. Anna Maria FMA and Ms. Sonia, teacher at Woodford International School.
