A concerned citizen has call for probing of individuals responsible for creating ghost companies have been reiterated by a concern citizen.
Henry Kahui urges for immediate investigation and for possible prosecution.
Mr Kahui said these people have been the hindrance to the genuine service providers.
“Those responsible need to be probed and bring to justice for their unfair, self-serve and stealing from the government coffers,” he said.
He said there are many genuine applicants who were denied because of such self-serving individuals.
“This has been happening for so long, and is unfair,” he said.
Mr Kahui also urges that the Central Tender Board (CTB) and the Ministries Tender Boards (MTB) be scrutinized on this regard.
“The CTB and MTB plays a vital role on such government processes, thus those making up these bodies as members should also be investigated.
“Endorsement and approval goes through responsible authorities, and it is common knowledge that there is a link to any applicant’s approval; thus members to these bodies needs to be reviewed as well,” he urged.
He said this had happened in the awarding of contracts to building constructions, road maintenance and security services to mention a few.
He added that the only thing is to immediately investigate and bring those responsible to justice.
“Let justice be served and a level playing field be re-established, for a better service delivery within the government and its processes prevail.
“It’s time this be seriously considered than before because millions of dollars have been forked away by those people and their agents.”
