A man who allegedly failed to burn down a cell at the Henderson Police Station which is under Guadalcanal Province has been remanded in custody on Monday.
Selwyn Rifasia faces one count of arson for the alleged incident in August last year.
He was arrested and placed in custody following an incident and then allegedly lit up the concrete cell block.
Police however managed to put out the fire.
He allegedly escaped from police custody later but was again re-arrested on Monday.
