Sentencing submissions and mitigation will be conducted next on the case of two men who received stolen properties that were linked to a robbery in East Honiara last year.
The matter was mentioned in the Honiara Magistrates Court yesterday during which, it was confirmed the submissions and mitigation will proceed in court on July 22.
The two men, Elson Kava and Martin Omaki received part of the stolen properties that were robbed at Winlex Company at Lungga.
Kava received a chainsaw, and total cash of $1, 270 while Omaki received $800 cash.
All items were not recovered.
Three other men, Willie Olo, James Bae and Jonis are facing robbery charges in relation to the robbery at Winlex Company.
They have all denied the allegations therefore a pre-trial conference will be conducted on their case on the same date as Kava and Omaki’s case.
Prosecution alleged the properties that include chainsaws, phones and other valuable properties including the cash were not yet retrieved.
The Public Solicitor’s Office is representing all accused while the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions represents the Crown.
