GUADALCANAL provincial ward member for Saghalu ward Brian Tuva has assured chiefs and people in his division his commitment in supporting them until his term in office lapses.
Mr Tuva assured this in his remarks during the occasion to elect a new paramount chief for the ward at the Visale Mission Station in North West Guadalcanal, Tuesday this week.
In his address, Mr Tuva appeals to all chiefs within the Saghalu ward house of chiefs to work closely with him in serving the ward with dignity.
“As your MPA for the Saghalu ward, I pledge my full support in assisting the chiefs, youths, women, men, pastors, and bishops of my ward.
“Therefore, I call on all of you to assist me in moving the ward forward in terms of development.
“In terms of community governance, I assure you that I am committing myself to recognise the work done by all of you,” he said.
He moved on to say that he is willing to assist the Saghalu house of chiefs no matter with what little money or support he has.
Tuva told the chiefs that any issue that happens in the ward will be their responsibility to solve. And both of them (MPA and Chiefs) are an important combination of leadership for the people of Saghalu ward.
