The Malaita Assembly Speaker Titus Fika will on Thursday decide on whether to allow or deny the motion of no confidence to oust the current Malaita Premier Peter Chanel Ramoihia.
The Malaita Assembly speaker told this paper in an interview that he will make the decision today upon his arrival in Auki.
He said he will write to the premier today informing him about the Speaker’s stand on the motion whether to allow it or to dissolve it.
He informed this paper that there is nothing wrong with the submission.
“Now that the grace period of 18 months is over; the submission is valid.”
Not only that but he said the motion sub mission date has fallen in line with the required time before the full assembly meeting on the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th this month, adding the motion as has strong backup reasons.
Provincial Member for Ward one Malcolm Moli made the submission to oust Premier Ramoihia on the grounds of illegal money borrowing early this month.
