THE court will hand down its ruling Monday next week on the bail applications made for four of the five men accused of robbing the Bank of South Pacific (BSP) in Auki, Malaita last year.
The applications for bail were heard on Monday before Principal Magistrate Fatima Taeburi.
This would be the fourth bail application the court will be hearing for the two accused John Kiki and Nelson Ausolo.
They are represented by Private Lawyer Lazarus Kwaiga of L & L Lawyers.
In relation to the accused Patrick Talo, this would be his second bail application and the first bail application for Peter Eto Kafa.
Public Solicitor’s lawyer Ben Alasia and Jenny Namo are representing them.
Sarah Karani, also of the Public Solicitor’s office, who represents the fifth accused, Solomon Wadily, had indicated in court on a previous occasion that she would also apply for bail in the future.
All accused are facing one count each of armed robbery in relation to the incident on the morning of 27 November last year at the Bank of South Pacific in Auki.
It was alleged that some of the accused were armed with firearms and one of them fired a shot before they went into the bank.
After they allegedly filled up bags with about (SBD) $200,000 and (US) $10,000, one of them allegedly fired a shot before they left the scene.
Prosecution alleged the men wore masks at that time.
Public Prosecutor Bradley Dalipanda appeared for the crown.
