Police have arrested a suspect in connection to an early morning robbery on Thursday morning.
A statement from Police Media Unit said, the suspect was alleged to have been involved in a robbery at the Solomon Islands Public Employees Union (SIPEU) at the town ground office on Thursday morning.
It was alleged three male persons were involved in the robbery during which a large amount of money was stolen, the statement added.
“The arrest was possible with assistance from the Honiara City Council Law Enforcement Officers after they teamed up with the Police.
“Police are very grateful for that assistance. As a result of this arrest most of the money was recovered.”
