LIWE Landowners Trust Board (LLTB) has applauded the Democratic Coalition for Change Government (DCCG) for its willingness to assist them in implementing the projects planned for their 74.27 hectares registered land.
Speaking to the Solomon Star, trust board chairman Walter Hoenihoula said his people and the entire province of Malaita are very happy to see DCCG eying Liwe for development.
He said they are ready to work hand in hand with DCCGto ensure work on the ground is progressive and achievable within the government’s remaining two years.
Mr Hoenihoula said LLTB will look at the possibility of an outright purchase of the Perpetual Estate (PE) title by the government so that things are legally secured for development.
He added that the Council of Chiefs in his area has already agreed and signed their consent for development on Liwe land to continue.
Mr Hoenihoula thanked DCCG for working with them, to ensure Liwe Industrial Park Project is on its radar.
