CHILDREN at the Children’s Ward (Paediatric) at the National Referral hospital couldn’t help but smile after new TV screens were installed within the two wings by Satsol staff.
Being looked after by the Hapi Isles Health Foundation, and working with Satsol, three flat screen TVs were installed and handed over to the doctors and nurses of the Paediatric ward yesterday.
“It is a dream come true, for the kids, which will assist psychologically in the kids’ recovery,” said Dr Rami, who was working at the ward at the time of the handover.
Member of the Hapi Isles Health Foundation, Doreen Kuper thanked Satsol for the tremendous assistance to the hospital.
“We would like to thank the Satsol Management and staff for a job well done,” Ms Kuper said.
“It is a milestone for the Children’s ward, as no other hospital or ward within the National Referral hospital or the country has access to these services via Satsol.”
Chairman of the Hapi Isles Health Foundation, Joel Lamani also gave similar sentiments, thanking those who have donated the TV screens and frames and other generous donors who have supported the Hapi Isles Health Foundation since its launch in 2015.
“Hundreds of children come through the doors of the paediatric ward each year, and the Foundation will do its best to work on other areas in the ward that needs renovation.”
Meanwhile, work on a Children’s Ward Playground by the Hapi Isles Health Foundation will commence towards the end of March.
