THE case of a man accused of the murder of a man way back in 2011 in East Guadalcanal has been further adjourned to March 23.
This is to allow prosecution to provide full disclosures to the lawyer representing Jeffery Albert Pai.
So far only part disclosures were served.
Once full disclosures are made, Pai’s lawyer, Jenny Namo from Public Solicitor’s Office, will take instructions from him for plea.
Pai appeared before Principal Magistrate Fatima Taeburi and was further remanded awaiting full disclosures on his matter.
He is facing one count of murder.
This is for allegedly aiding another accused, Hence Bosalea in the murder of a man in Kidigha village in Guadalcanal in 23 December 2011.
Bosalea was already dealt with by the court and is now serving life imprisonment for the crime.
Pai is the second person to be arrested while two others are still at large.
Public Prosecutor John Wesley Zoze yesterday applied for a 14-day adjournment before Magistrate Esther Lelapitu who granted the application.
Prosecution alleged Pai and his co-accused aided Bosalea in attacking deceased who had just arrived from his bush garden.
It was alleged that whilst the trio allegedly attacked the deceased, Bosalea came and grabbed the knife out of the deceased.
Bosalea then allegedly chased the deceased with it and cut him from his back on his head, neck and upper back.
