The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Auki, Malaita province will step up on its duty this weekend to ensure law and order is maintain through out the Easter weekend.
Auki Police operational commander Timothy Apaesi confirmed this to Solomon Star office in Auki in an interview yesterday.
Mr. Apaesi said Auki police will step up its security measures to ensure religious activities planned for this coming Good Friday and throughout the weekend are not being disturbed by criminal activities.
“Auki police will be providing patrols in Auki and nearby communities.”
He encourages the public to support police and report any criminal activities sighted to Auki police or any nearest police post in the province.
He appeals to all Christains in Malaita to make this Easter weekend is a successful one free of criminal activities.
