Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Member of Parliament (MP) for East Malaita Manasseh Maelanga has ended its weeklong constituency tour.
He returned to Honiara on Sunday afternoon after the successful visit to his people.
He kicked off his tour on Saturday 13th May and the tour on Saturday 20th May.
During his visit, Hon Maelanga chartered a landing carrier carrying new machines intended for the Eastern Esteem Constructors which is the main business arm of the East Kwara’ae constituency which will be responsible to construct new roads and maintain the existing ones in the constituency.
He also met with the Aluta basin palm oil resource owners at Kwaiafa market in East Kwara’ae where they discussed the future of the palm oil project.
He also met with landowners who owned the piece of land that the two new proposed roads for his constituency will go though.
Mr. Maelanga conducted his last meeting at the Faumamanu market on Saturday before traveling back to Auki before catching a Solomon Airlines flight to Honiara.
The tour was widely appreciated by the constituents as most constituents described the visit as a very fruitful one.
