Police are hunting down two “dangerous men” who escaped lawful custody at the Honiara Magistrates Court last Wednesday.
The two are:
- FRANK FIRIMOLE, 29, from Malaita. Police believed he’s residing in the Green Valley area of east Honiara. He is described as 168cms tall of medium build with black hair.
- Eric NATHANIEL Jr, 24, from Malaita. Police believed he’s currently residing in the Mbokona area, Central Honiara. He is described as 167cms tall of medium build with black hair.
The two men were arrested in connection with a violent home invasion incident at Panatina ridge on 13 October 2017.
In the incident, six masked men armed with bush knives and axes entered the house and robbed properties and cash while the family locked themselves in one of the rooms.
They stole cash and properties worth more than $50,000.
The two men were charged with armed robbery offences and had appeared in Court last Wednesday where they were remanded in custody.
They then escaped from police as they were about to be transported to the Rove correctional facility.
“These two men are dangerous,” police said yesterday.
“Members of the public should not approach them.
“Police have been conducting an operation to locate the two escapees, however to date they are still at large. Investigations are ongoing.”
