The Church movement called ‘Message of the Kingdom’ is now on the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force’s (RSIPF) radar.
This followed reports members of the movement are selling their properties and a suggestion an uprising is likely in the province
A statement issued by the police media unit on Monday said, the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is gathering information and monitoring the movement which was formed by a certain group of people in Malaita Province.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province, Superintendent Timothy Apaesi said; “My officers are gathering information about the alleged Church movement and sale of properties by members of the movement.”
PPC Apaesi meanwhile calls on members of the public and communities in Malaita Province to assist the police with more information on the suggestion that there may be an uprising which could result in public disorder in the province.
“I appeal to people in Malaita Province to always abide by the law and should not take the law into their own hands in any event.”

Meanwhile, the movement had denied rumors that a big miracle will happen today.
This came after a posting via National Malaitans Forum on social media, which the Kingdom movement believes that the earth will open and unbelievers will fall in the big opening with their houses today.
“New houses will pop up from the open ground and cult believers will live in those previous houses.
“In those houses will be white women who will be their servants or house girls,” the posting revealed.
But, a member of the movement based in Honiara denied that report saying, today is a celebration of a Church in Israel.
He said their movement is working closely with the Church in Israel for many years now to celebrate the day.
“Its a celebration that we will wait and see what will manifest in physical realm,” he added.
However he said there’s news that some members of the movement in Malaita have sold their items and properties while waiting for what will manifest today.
“For me I remain as myself.
“However, for people who sell their stuff, it depends on their own convictions,” he added.
Message of the Kingdom upholds praise and worship, and also heals people through prayer.
It had been around for about 20 years now.
It has 22 pray centers, with one at Green Valley and another behind Tongs building at King George Six, East Honiara.
The majority of the prayer centers are based in Malaita province.
Over the weekend a Church leader in one of the mainstream Churches in Auki, said the movement has its own ways of proclaiming the message of Kingdom to its followers.
However, the Church leader who wants his name withheld, said the movement connects its teaching with the belief that Malaita’s descendants came from Israel.
“I can describe it as a cargo cult movement because the attraction parts of it are goods and money that will come from America,” the church leader said.
“It’s a challenge for mainstream churches in the country because such movement has created competition with us,” he added.
However, the church leader said mainstream churches under Solomon Islands Christian Association (SICA) and Solomon Islands Full Gospel Association (SIFGA) have not worked closely with this movement.
