A follower of the controversial church leader Kemuel Kaleni has labeled him as a liar after he came out publicly in the local media last week and defended himself.
Last week the church leader Mr. Kaleni told the Solomon Star office in Auki in an exclusive interview that he is not a prophet nor a king, but just a church pastor from the South Sea Evangelical Church (SSEC).
He also said he didn’t authorize his followers to sell their properties and did not prophecy that something great will happen to his followers.
A follower who wants his name withheld for publication told this paper on Monday claiming that Mr. Kaleni himself want his followers to call him prophet and king.
The follower said Kaleni is the one who misled them, but by coming out publicly and denying this in the media has raised more questions to the followers whether Kaleni is in his right mind or not.
He said Kaleni himself was the one who prophesied about what his followers were expecting to be fulfilled on the 16th of January.
All his followers waited for his prophecy to eventuate but it failed on the 16 of January, 2018.
The follower said that Mr. Kaleni should just declare to all the followers and the nation that he is fooling people for his own good.
The followers said they do as he says, but surprisingly he went out publicly in the media and denied his very words and instructions.
The follower who has now declined to follow the teaching of Mr. Kaleni after reading his confession in the local media lately said he is hopes that the rest of the followers know that their leader has denied what he actually preached to them in their churches which means he is telling liars to them.
The follower said the claim that Kaleni made as he is a SSEC pastor is also wrong as their group has been removed from SSEC some years back.
He said Kaleni was also banned from preaching in SSEC churches.
“Therefore by referring himself as a SSEC church pastor is not true.”
