FORMER politician Peter Boyers had relinquished his memberships in all Solomon Islands National Provident Fund’s (SINPF) investment companies.
This included his chairmanship of South Pacific Oil Ltd, Board Director of Soltuna and Sasape International Slipway Ltd, and as a member of the Investment & Credit Committee.
Mr Boyers said he is only the chairman of SINPF Board at the moment.
“I resigned last year from Soltuna during its board meeting,” Mr Boyers said.
“I made the decision that as chairman of SINPF, I should remain neutral from its investment companies,” he added.
Mr Boyers said he never asked to be chairman of SINPF because the Minister of Finance has the discretion to make the appointment.
He is expected to finish his term as chairman of SINPF in April.
Mr Boyers was a former Member of Parliament for West New Georgia-Vona Vona Constituency in Western Province.
He lost the seat in the 2010 national election.
