Malaita Provincial Government has expressed its full support towards the Traditional Governance and Customs Facilitation Bill 2018.
Malaita Provincial Premier Peter Ramohia assured the consultation team and chiefs at Buma community in West Kwara’ae, Malaita Province on Tuesday.
“Malaita Provincial Government executive is fully supportive of the Bill.”
Premier Ramohia described the Bill as a step in the right direction in putting the country in order before the country can achieve any real development.
Not only that, the Traditional Governance and Customs Facilitation Bill 2018 is a step in a right direction to achieve land reform, an area where the Malaita Provincial Government has been embarking on for the past year to this day, he added.
“We, the Malaita Provincial Government fully support this Bill and we want to see it pass in July when the Bill goes to Parliament.”
He pointed out, the Traditional Governance is the way forward for this country Malaita and the country as a whole.
Premier Ramohia thanked the consultation team and wishes them good luck in their nation wide consultation program.
