OUTGOING Member for Parliament for Gao/Bugotu, Samuel Manetoali, is likely to take his plea to the conversion charge against him on February 5.
His matter was mentioned in court, Tuesday where it was heard that prosecution has now obtained outstanding disclosures.
The prosecution had also mentioned they will be particularizing the charge of one count of conversion against the caretaker Minister for Forestry and Research.
This could mean the outgoing MP might be facing more than one count of conversion.
Manetoali was accused of diverting $100,000 of constituency funds to pay for a Christmas party he hosted in 2014 at his Lengakiki residence.
The fund allegedly used was an advanced government grant paid to each of the 50 constituency in mid December, 2014.
L & L Lawyers is representing Manetoali while Public Prosecutor Freliz Fakarii appeared on instruction of her colleague Jasper Anisi, Tuesday.
