KOOLINE Futsal club has acknowledged the support rendered towards the team for the recent OFC Futsal League competition in New Zealand.
Kooline Team Manager Mohammed Shameem told media upon arrival on Tuesday that the support rendered by the sponsors, families, friends and football supporters both at home and abroad is what keeps their hopes alive and the extra strive to keep fighting until the end.
“Thank you for our major sponsor, Coral Seas Resort for the sponsorship as well as futsal supporters, families and friends for the support one way or the other.
“I would like to thank the Solomon Islands community in New Zealand as well, after we won the team feel like meeting family and they were very supportive and made us feel at home.
“Through these support the team made it through a tough competition,” he said.
He extended his utmost acknowledgement to his players praising their fighting spirit.
“I am very proud of the club and boys.
“We played so many tough matches and I never cried in any game but the boys made me cry in the final match.
“When we thought it was not going our way the boys kept their fighting spirit and made it sweet victory,” he said.
Shameem revealed that Kooline will continue to support young futsal players and looks forward for next year’s club championship to defend the title.
