THE leadership of Malaita Provincial Premier Daniel Suidani is under threat following claims the current Democratic Coalition Government for Advancement (DCGA) is behind moves to remove the premier.
According to leaked information obtained by the Solomon Star, a senior DCGA minister who has been tasked by the DCGA government is in Auki to meet with four MPAs under MARA government to offer them money to carry out the wish of the national government.
The four MPAs have ministerial portfolios in MARA government under the leadership of Premier Suidani and a fifth MPA is not a minister, but someone who is eyeing the premier’s post for the new government, if the MARA government falls.
Information obtained stated that the senior DCGA minister who is also a Malaitan is taking the task seriously and if Premier Suidani and MARA government is not careful then MARA government will fall.
The Malaita public has warned Premier Suidani to be careful as there are some money minded ministers in his government who are there purposely for money and not leadership.
Information reaching Solomon Star Auki claimed that the Malaita public is watching the four MPAs closely as they are trying to work against the good leadership shown by Premier Suidani.
In the meantime, Malaita for Democracy (M4D) said they are aware of the move and said M4D will defend the good leadership of Premier Suidani and do what is right for Malaita province.
M4D warned the four earmarked MPAs who are current ministers under MARA government to do the right thing for Malaita or else they all will share the consequence of their bad and selfish decision making.
