THE Census supervisor for Vulolo Ward in Central Guadalcanal Linda Pauka has called on the Government to quickly settle their Impress payments.
Pauka said she will not submit the EA 0101 and EA 0201 data for the 23 communities in the Vulolo Ward to the Census office until the impress payments were settled.
The impress payments covered the transport and logistics of their team, payments of the 4 tour guards and carriers and storage houses they use during the 32 days census period.
“I will not release these data to the Census office until they pay the imprests because our tour guides and carriers, transport owners and house owners that we used during the census period are waiting for their payments.
“These people are very helpful to us and supported us very much in doing our work during the census period.
“We already submitted the receipts and invoices to the Area manager and coordinators and we are surprised they didn’t process the payments,’’ she said.
“Some of my Enumerators properties are still at the storage house that we used and the house owners won’t release them because they are paid.
“I will not release these documents until the Imprests were paid and I’m willing to discuss this matter so that we can address it quickly.”
Pauka added that she has been victimized by the delay because some of the transport owners are demanding their payments and she even of her money she received from her payment to pay them.
Comments are being sought from the Census Office in Honiara.
